Licensing a check in station
Each check-in station will need to be individually licensed before you can begin using it for check-in. Our unique licensing process allows you to move a license from one computer to another easily. Once you assign a license to a station you will not need to do it again unless you remove the license or replace the computer.
You only need to license computers on which you will be doing check in. If you are setting up KidCheck from a computer on which you will not be doing check-in, you may skip this section.
Make sure you are using the computer terminal on which you will be doing check-in.
Log in to your KidCheck account at go.kidcheck.com
Go to the "settings" tab on the upper right hand corner
Click the "Licensing" tab
At the top of this page you will see the total number of licenses that your organization has purchased and the number of licenses that are currently in use.
To license a check-in terminal complete the following fields:
“Station Name”
You can name your station whatever you'd like. (i.e. Check In 1, or Rm 214)
“Description”
If you have more than one check-in station, you can put a description here that will help designate one check-in station from the other (example: This is Room 101 station)
When complete select "Yes, license this station to run check-in". KidCheck will assign a license number to this kiosk based upon the web browser that you are using. Select “Save Changes” to install the license. At the bottom of the page will be a list of all check-in stations that have been licensed.
Removing and Suspending a License
At the bottom of the licensing page there is a list of all licensed check-in stations. To remove a licensed from a check in station select the red x relative to the computer from which you want to switch a license to a new check-in station. If you wish to re-license that station you will need to register that station using the process above.
If you routinely change stations you can simply suspend a license by clicking on the green check box. This will make the license available for another computer without removing it from the original.
You will only be able to perform check-in on the system with an active license and quick child lookup can only be run when a computer is in check-in mode.
If you attempt to run check-in on a computer that is not licensed, KidCheck will ask you to use one of your licenses before proceeding, and will automatically take you to the licensing tab in Settings section. To activate a license simply select “Yes, license this station to run check-in”.
