New! Easily Know Who Wants To Volunteer
We’re excited to share our latest improvement regarding volunteers. Now, right in their KidCheck account, with the click of a button, parents and guardians can proactively let you know they are interested in volunteering. This provides another great avenue for you to learn who wants to get involved and help. When an individual expresses interest, you’ll receive an email notification with their name.
As part of their KidCheck account creation, guardians can now select “Request to Volunteer” indicating they would like to volunteer. So right from the start, they can begin thinking about volunteering and easily make you aware of their interest. This option is also available in existing KidCheck accounts, giving everyone the opportunity to request to volunteer. Let your members know this is available to help encourage them to volunteer. It’s an easy way for you to know who might be interested.
Of course, just because they request to volunteer, it doesn’t automatically make them one. When a request comes through, you will receive an email notification with their name, and they will be listed at the top of the Workers Tab. After properly vetting them, it’s easy to take action. From the Workers Tab you can easily accept or deny their request, as well as provide administrative access. For Starter edition customers, simply follow up with the individual from the notification email as the Workers Tab is not included in this edition.

We remind and encourage you that before allowing anyone to volunteer to always complete a comprehensive screening process first. While it’s great to have volunteers, and it’s tempting to accept everyone willing to help, child safety must come first.
KidCheck also has a separate volunteer scheduling feature to help save you time and keep you organized. It’s fast, easy, intuitive and available in both a mobile app and desktop version. Volunteer scheduling is already included as part of the KidCheck Plus and Premier editions. If you aren’t already taking advantage of this amazing feature, reach out and we’ll help you get started.
We know volunteers are the backbone of your ministry, and we’re excited about providing this new avenue for parents and guardians to express interest, helping you to grow your volunteer team.
