In the post GJ calls out several items to consider when implementing a secure children’s check-in system that might actually be detrimental to the goal of increasing security.

Although a check-in system for children’s ministry is a large piece in the overall safety puzzle, the benefits and success are ultimately tied to the features within the child check-in software and how well the staff utilizes it. A check-in system can’t do the job of keeping kids safe without the proper implementation, training, and use of the system itself.
